The bitch is called Giles Clarke.

Giles Clarke, the ECB Chairman, is the bitch to Kevin Pietersen's IPL Plans. Read the BBC report here, where he tells the lads to forget the lure of the Indian summer.

Giles Clarke

He said in a statement to The Times that if Kevin wants, he can not renew his central contract and freelance, which is up for renewal this September. He drew a parallel to Tony Greig choosing to play in the rebel World Series Cricket in the Pacer-era in the late 70's.

"Greig gave up playing for England, because he thought he could get back in easily , and then Ian Botham appeared. "

So, none of the lads yet in the IPL till 2009, if they want to play for England and Clarke is to be believed.

But Sean Morris, of the Professional Cricketers Association, has warned that "money will talk"

We agree with you, Kev. It is silly that you miss out on a million or two for six weeks of work, and we miss out on one of the most exciting cricketers in the world and a KevJess invasion of our tabloids.

But stay tuned. There's lots more to come of this issue.

And Mr. Clarke, you are putting too much on your plate. It's the lure of the Indian Rupee you are up against this time.
