Gavaskar lashes out at the Ahmedabad debacle

The performance, or lack of it of the Indian team in the second test against South Africa in the lively Motera pitch in Ahmedabad has got Sunil Gavaskar talking again.

And he just couldn't resist taking a little hit at the IPL.

He talks about players that "hardly took a wicket and looked unlikely to get one opting to dance at the launch of their franchise rather than an extra net session was strange to say the least."

"They should have been going hard at the nets, trying to get their wrist position and footwork rather than practicing their dancing steps. It's about time they realized that they are what they are because of cricket."

Mr. Gavaskar, we are listening. Some of these Cricketers should clearly stick to Cricket, because there is no eyesore bigger than seeing a Yuvi or a Ganguly shake a leg or two.
