Shahrukh backs Shoaib..

Shahrukh Khan, owner of The Kolkata Knightriders, is hoping that the five year ban on Shoaib Akhtar would be overturned by a special tribunal hearing the case. Read the article here in The Hindu.

Knowing Khan, and how things work with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and tribunals in Pakistan, that might be actually done. Also, the Indian Premier League needs Akhtar, and the power the league wields, it would be nobody's surprise if Akhtar would be back playing for the IPL.

But what does Ganguly want? It would not surprise me whether he would think that The Knightriders might be a little better of without the erratic fast bowler.

The Indian Premier League and The Knightriders needs Akhtar. Even just for the controversies, women and the more than quotable quotes.

God bless Ganguly!
